Opus the Poet says
Relax, Hell doesn’t exist, and neither does Heaven. When you die it’s over, lights out and pain gone. At least it was that way every time I died, after the hypoxic hallucinations ended. And I died a bunch of times.
FML says
Death is necessary but not sufficient. I need the life erase button from #188.
grandad was a preacher says
fun fact, suicide didn’t use to be a sin! it’s just that the combination of the idea of heaven and the life we have not mattering because of it, paired with the idea of possibly sinning then going to hell, and horrible living conditions in general, people just went “okay so I’ll kill myself now before I have a chance to sin and just go to heaven so I don’t have to deal with all of this” and the church started losing followers (cash flow) because of it so they turned suicide into a sin. death cult at it’s finest.
