Kit says
Is that the loss meme on the bathroom wall? XD
clay says
You caught me!
Someone says
Wow it’s been ages since I looked at CAD. I recall the strip but he had already been losing me with his koolaid vision. Never knew it (Loss) had become a meme. Was it actually a reflection of his life, or just another example of his out of touch mockery of people actually being vulnerable?
Keep it up Clay. The world seems less lonely or cruel when I’m reading your work.
jackmarten says
this happens to me right now, laugh at it as much as you want. but it is real.
also .. above the toilet paper.. is that supposed to be skyrim easter egg? dragon tongue writing?
clay says
Sorry, I have never played skyrim.

I don’t think fiber would help with diarrhea…
Anyway, I can’t poop at all when I’m stressed out (I suppose that’s useful at least) but I do get diarrhea pretty frequently outside of that situation, so IDK… I’d never thought of it being related to my depression/anxiety but I wouldn’t be surprised.
Also, it could be a medicine side-effect perhaps; that’s always possible… Well, not for me since I don’t have any yet lol but anyone else experiencing this issue. After all, can’t have helpful things without terrible side-effects especially if you’re on the wrong medication for you, which is probably most people, since finding a doctor who listens can be taxing and trials for EVERY medication are still mostly packed with white CIS men of a certain random weight… even for stuff like birth control made for women. That’s not a joke…
Opus the Poet says
The only symptom I get outside of you know, depression, is my injuries will get tight and make walking pretty much impossible.
Jim says
Wow i never thought depression can cause physical pain.. (then again my previous work place gave me ulcer so yeah, I guess I just never *thought* about it)
Jean-François Montigny says
First time the blonde girl isn’t a good guy. Interesting.
clay says
She’s been the character that refuses to believe in depression right from the start!
Jean-François Montigny says
Yeah but she used to be “friendly” (and just ignorant) about it, if that makes sense.
Anon says
What do you mean by that, Jonathan? These two have been in close contact with each other for literal years now, and you say she doesn’t “believe” his or depression in general is a real thing? Even after all the conversations they had and observations she made about him in the past?
I mean, she might be ignorant in some aspects about his illness and usually doesn’t know how to help, sure, but it doesn’t seem to me that all she does in their interactions is brush it off like it doesn’t exist or it doesn’t matter. A good example of this would be in the posts 136, 221 and 414. She acknowledges his problem, but she doesn’t know how to help.
clay says
As the creator of this comic, do I really have to have a debate about what my characters do?
Koz says
Thank you for this! Thank you! It will help me talk to people. I swear, I’m on the shitter more than any other chair.

Quite relatable. In my case, I get chilly.
It can be 23°C (73.5°F) inside, and while everyone is comfortably wearing t-shirts I’ve got long-sleeve fleece PJs, woollen socks, a fluffy robe, a scarf, and a mug of tea in my hands, and still can’t seem to warm up.
It took me a while to connect the two and nobody would believe me if I told them, but they coincide without fail.
transient says
Add to that joint pain, headaches, and fatigue.
Cyrus says
Fatigue, insomnia, nerve pain, headaches, stomachaches… Yup, depression can really fuck with your body.
