sorry to tell you Robin, but everyone is going back to their normal lives regardless whether this “virus” was defeated or not.
they couldn’t anymore take it to stay home and respect themselves, like you do.
so everyone no longer care about the risks.
Larry James says
Think of it this way. Your a freaking hero & likely saved 100 or more lives just today because YOU wore a mask.
Jacob Jaeger says
When I announced I had Covid, at least 25 people contacted me with their concern, which I appreciated immensely. Now I’m just back to living with my other life threatening condition. But I now hear nothing.
Esmerelda Bohème says
The silent invisible epidemic of depression/Su*cide is also deadly. Thank you for your words. We see you, we hear you.
Betty Frocker says
People would rather sprint with us than run a marathon alongside us. I completely empathize.
Esmerelda Bohème says
I know, right?!!
Jeff Witman says
At that point it almost feels pointless to even bother. When you see everyone going around without them it feels like being the only one just doesn’t make a difference.
Larry James says
It does. It always matter what you do. No matter what everyone else does.
Donna Fritz says
If your D&D character has an empty Health slot, you fill it with anything you can. Wearing a mask is mostly to prevent you from spreading the virus, but it does reduce your own chance of being infected, however tiny it may be.
Derek Blakely says
Because selfishness. It’s ridiculous.
Alma Alexander says
I know. It’s unbelievable.
Luca Bergamasco says
Most people still don’t realize that my mask is meant to protect you from me, and not me from you. Hence, that devil may care attitude, protests against mandatory masks, and so on.
James K Collins says
There are 300 million people in the United States.
Even if 80% of us do the right thing, that leaves 60 million idiots running around, filling up our public spaces, and generally making it look like nothing is changed. It’s hard to see how much of an illusion the fullness of public spaces is.
There are a LOT of us out here trying to keep you safe… which is why you don’t see us.
Felis Dee says
Yeah, this has Pretty much been my experience…
Elle says
I feel this every time I go outside. Yes, more people are wearing masks in my area, thank goodness, but all the people who aren’t? I almost wish I could understand how so many people so little regard for life and their fellow humans… then again, I look at history and other goings-on and realize a lot of people couldn’t care less about anyone else, even if it’ll help them, too.
HexaDoken says
Oh sweet child, didn’t you hear, the virus was cancelled by the government, it’s all fine now!
(An actual thing said to me, not making this up.)
Janine Elliott says
I feel ya & even worse people give you looks like you are somehow oppressing them when they are in fact engaging in bioterrorism whether by intention or not.
Agarax says
They’re not bioterrorists. They aren’t attempting to induce fear in others by spreading disease deliberately. They’re actually inducing fear in others by spreading disease obliviously.
MSG Bob says
Then again, I did hear a comment which sums this up accurately, I think. “President Trump doesn’t wear a mask because… We wear masks to keep from spreading the disease to other people. Trump doesn’t care about other people. Therefore…”
C. says
I lost my beloved uncle to COVID-19 last month. It is not a hoax, it is not a flu bug. It is real, and deadly, and it causes all sorts of nasty damage in those who survive it. I wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy. So, I limit my errands, and when I have to go out I mask up, despite the inconvenience.
clay says
I’m really sorry to hear that. My deepest condolences for your loss. I really wish people would wise up and wear the mask.
ArdentSlacker says
The weird part, for me… I do all the precautions because I can’t afford to be lax with my safety. Giving up makes it hard to resist the call of the abyss. My fighting suicidal thoughts every damn night… helps? Because I can’t let my depression win even once.
Mark Helm says
A 4k copy if the last frame would be awesome
