Tom Petty from the “Don’t Come Around Here No More” video. Awesome tribute.

The variation I experience is that people prefer to see me as a normal person, and then call me out for failing miserably. They seem to forget that we’ve talked about my illness a number of times. Silly Normals.

Excellent shout-out to Tom Petty, may he rest in peace.
As for costumes, I love Halloween. It’s nice to dress up and pretend to be someone or something else for a while.

Zing! You nailed that one, Clay. And I too applaud the Tom Petty nod. Listen to his interview with Terry Gross on NPR, it’s great. He’s just a hell of a great guy, for one. But he also talks about struggling with depression after his divorce, and how his music changed after someone torched his house. Here’s the link to it on NPR: http://www.npr.org/2017/10/03/555302003/tom-petty-to-fresh-air-the-songs-mean-a-lot-to-people-and-it-means-a-lot-to-me

I know how to wear that costume very well. When someone notices that it doesn’t hold up, I fix it and wear it better.
