This is absolutely me. I have summer S.A.D.

But fall and winter are my seasons and my time to shine. Fall more so, because Christmas stresses me out.

Probably with her body issues she wouldn’t want to go outside in a swimsuit. People with body issues have a particularly difficult time in the summer because of less clothing. If I had a chance to do that last panel again I would put in more tiki.

I remember seeing the comics where she’s in covered up to hide her scars in the blistering heat. Maybe if there is another scene of this you should add a Tiki.

This goes double for those of us who work nights, so we never see much of the sun.

I live where it’s always summer sort of and the sun and heat alone take half the energy I have for a day xD. All year round. Love rainy days though or used to.

Same here. The beach is withing smelling distance and I am an absolute beach bum. However, this is the third summer I’ve watched go by from my window. I’m actually hoping for a small category 1 hurricane for days and days of rain and wind.

THANK YOU, Clay, thank you! Almost no one believes be that summer S.A.D. is absolutely a thing. Which just makes me feel more isolated, shut-out, and “wrong” than ever.

Thank you for this entire comic.

THIS! At least during winter here in North Dakota all other humans are holed up and isolated away from other humans as well.

Thanks so much for this! I had no idea summer SAD existed before I read this and it seems like it might explain why I tend to feel more depressed during summer. I feel like I’m trying to hide from the sun all summer and when it rains or it’s overcast I finally feel like I can go outside. I long for fall hikes and winter cross-country skiing. Summers make me feel like I’m trapped inside.
