Making it to the shower is a victory on its own, try the bed.

I used to sit in the shower for 15 minutes or so before I could make the move out. Its a good place to meditate. This, like pretty much everything in this strip, rings so true. I’m amazed. These strips should be a book.

Keith E Gottschalk, I agree completely with the book idea.

I hate the shower. It’s where I put on my mask every day. In some ways it’s refreshing, a rebirth, but it’s based on a lie. I am making myself presentable for a world that has no time for how I truly feel. It is where I begin not just lying to myself, but to others.

Anyone else have the type of life where other than sleeping, showering or bathing is your only other enjoyable time of the day?

For me, it’s not the shower. It’s the bed.
Once I get out the bed, I have to brace the world once again.

You really successfully subverted the whole ‘channel your frustrations into something creative’ idea with this website, haven’t you?
April 16, 2014 at 10:49 am
I’m not sure what you mean by “subverted”.

I feel like there’s a definite success in just making it into the shower. 176 http://t.co/mtG2Wcy0Di via @depressioncomix

I swear, taking a shower for me is an escape from the harsh reality of living with depression and SAD. (Social Anxiety Disorder)
